Gonzaga offers an array of youth educational enrichment and mentoring programs. Programs are offered on campus and at nine elementary, middle and high schools in Northeast Spokane and at the Gonzaga Family Haven. Programming is offered during the school year and over the summer months. Our programs include one-on-one and group mentoring, after-school tutoring, arts and education enrichment, English Language Immersions, and more.
Programs serve over 700 youth in Northeast Spokane each year.

During this weeklong theology camp for high school students, they will have time to learn more about the character of God, develop and practice times of prayer, worship, and reflection, build community with their peers and college student leaders, adventure out for rafting, hiking, and volunteering in the Spokane community. A one-on-one mentoring program that works with middle school students (grades 7-8) from local Spokane Public Schools. Connections focuses on improving the academic and social success of youth by pairing Gonzaga students in relationships with youth. The program helps youth create a vision for the future and a plan for how that vision can become a reality. Gonzaga Athletes Mentoring for Excellence (GAME) is a group mentoring program that places teams of GU students with middle school youth, using group activities, athletics, and reflection as an avenue for relationship building and skill development. GAME mentors attend weekly programming, visit their mentees at school weekly, and participate in Saturday activities once a semester.
Eye to Eye is the only national movement that pairs kids with learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) disorder with similarly labeled college students. By utilizing an art-based curriculum, the mentors in our programs help kids with LD and ADHD build self-esteem as they embrace their abilities as different thinkers. Eye to Eye promotes self-advocacy and continues to strike out stigma so that those who are labeled can become their own best advocates.

Sparks is a team mentoring program that meets at J.R. Rogers High School once per week. Sparks fosters a safe and supportive environment for youth through positive relationships where strengths are explored. Youth build social, emotional, and academic skills through inclusive and intentional programming which emphasizes college and career exploration, and leadership development.
